Weatherproof for us means: The table can stay outside. Solid teak naturally contains oils that repel moisture and develops a silvery-gray patina over time. Powder-coated aluminum is rust-free, lightweight, and practically maintenance-free – which is why a round metal garden table is the easiest choice to care for. Plastic and concrete composite, in turn, are impervious to moisture and easy to wipe clean. With our extendable garden tables, the extension leaf is integrated into the table. You pull the table halves apart, fold up the insert plate, and lock it into place – completely without tools and in less than a minute. This way, the table extends from 160 to 210 cm, and four to six seats become six to eight.

Is an extendable garden table weather-resistant?

Yes. Our extendable garden tables are made of weather-resistant materials with a UV-resistant surface and a powder-coated frame. The extension mechanism is corrosion-protected. Nevertheless, we recommend covering the table when not in use for extended periods – then a white or taupe garden table will remain like new even after several seasons.

What diameter does a round garden table for 6 people need?

As a rule of thumb: Allow about 60 cm of table edge per person. For four people, a round garden table with a diameter of 118 or 120 cm is sufficient; for six people, 150 cm is ideal, and a round garden table of 158 or 160 cm comfortably accommodates eight guests. Plan for about 80 cm of free space around the table for pulling back chairs.

Which material is the easiest to care for?

A metal garden table is the easiest to maintain: powder-coated aluminum does not rust, is lightweight, and only needs to be wiped with a damp cloth. Plastic and concrete-plastic are also virtually maintenance-free. Solid teak wood is particularly durable, but requires an annual oil treatment if the warm wood color is to be preserved.

What color goes well with garden furniture – anthracite, grey, or white?

Anthracite is the all-rounder: An anthracite garden table looks modern, is resistant to dust and pollen, and matches almost any garden chair. Grey and taupe are the more understated options and harmonize well with natural stone and wood. A white or cream garden table makes small terraces appear larger, but dirt shows up more quickly. For a strong contrast, a round black garden table is available.

Can the garden table stay outdoors in winter

Basically yes – all models marked as weather-resistant are frost-proof. However, for the longest possible lifespan, we recommend a breathable cover and, if possible, raising the table slightly to prevent waterlogging. Wooden tables should be oiled before winter, and glass tops are best removed and stored in a dry place.
