Buy furniture online – Designer furniture at a glance – Page 210

Buying furniture online – which category suits your project?

When buying furniture online, people rarely search for "furniture" – but rather a specific piece for a specific place. The fastest way is therefore via the category and not via the search. These eight areas cover Richhome's entire product range.

Seating furniture is anything you sit on: chairs at the table, armchairs for reading, stools and benches where flexibility is desired. The sofa has its own category because it is usually the first piece decided upon and determines the rest of the living room. Tables range from the dining table as the focal point of the room to the small side table next to the armchair. And beds are included, even if they only concern one room.

When it comes to storage, one thing is crucial: whether you want to see what's inside. Cabinets close, shelves display. Wardrobes are a special case for the hallway – they are about jackets, shoes and the first impression a home makes. Bathroom furniture, in turn, must be able to cope with moisture long-term and is therefore listed separately.

If you are furnishing an entire room, choose the largest piece first – sofa or dining table – and align everything else with it. This prevents most bad purchases, as proportions and walkways will then naturally fit.

Designer furniture from one house – online and in the showroom

Richhome offers over 3,800 pieces of furniture and home accessories and has stood for stylish living since 2008. The product range
is curated, not exhaustive: Instead of carrying every available variation, we select models per category that prove themselves in terms of form, workmanship, and everyday usability. This is why our designer furniture also fits together even if it comes from different categories – and why you are more likely to find one compelling piece here than twenty similar ones.

Frequently Asked Questions About Richhome Furniture

What kind of furniture can I find at Richhome?

The range comprises over 3,800 articles and covers all living areas: seating furniture and sofas for the living and dining room, tables of all sizes, cabinets and shelves for storage space, coat racks for the hallway, bathroom furniture and beds. In addition, lighting and home accessories are available in separate sections. If you don't yet know exactly what you're looking for, the category overview above is the best starting point.

Can I see the furniture before buying?

Yes. We have a furniture store in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock near Bielefeld, where a large part of our product range is on display. We are open Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm; closed on Sundays and Mondays. It's especially worth the trip for larger pieces: dimensions on a screen and dimensions in a room rarely appear the same.

How do I find furniture that goes together?

The easiest way is by order. Start with the largest and most eye-catching piece – usually the sofa or dining table – and choose everything else to complement it. Two to three recurring materials or color tones in the room are perfectly sufficient; more quickly creates a restless impression. Because our assortment is curated, pieces from different categories generally harmonize well with each other.

How long does delivery take?

Unless otherwise stated in the offer, the delivery time is approx. 1-3 weeks for parcels and 1-6 weeks for larger furniture deliveries.

Is the furniture delivered assembled?

Large furniture items are delivered by freight forwarder or with our own vehicles, curb-side only: The freight forwarder delivers to the front of the house, not into the apartment. If you would like the goods delivered into your apartment, please book our 2-person handling service for 100 Euros – please request this additional service in writing. This service does not include assembly. When ordering, please provide a phone number where you can be reached during the day, preferably a mobile number, so that the freight forwarder can arrange a delivery date with you. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM; on Saturdays, only our own vehicles deliver.

What does shipping cost?

Within Germany, costs depend on size and shipping method: small packages cost 6.99 euros, large packages 11.99 euros, small freight shipments 20 euros, and large furniture on pallets 60 euros.
To Austria, packages cost 20 euros and furniture 90 euros. You will see the exact amount during the ordering process before completing your order. We only deliver to Switzerland upon request; there, a transport and customs flat rate starting from 195 euros, as well as the Swiss import tax of currently 8.1 percent, which is borne by the customer, will be added.

How can I recognize well-made furniture?

There are three places you can check, even in photos: First, the edges and joints – are they even, or does the spacing jump? Second, the movable parts: Drawers should be guided
and not tip, doors should close properly. Third, the weight in relation to the size; very light furniture usually has a thin construction. In our exhibition, you can try this out for yourself in just one minute.
