Info on wood type; African softwood Thermo Ayous
The Ayous wood used for this set is FSC-certified and thus comes from well-managed forests. Since Ayous wood has an open cell structure, it can be perfectly thermally preserved by steam or heat treatment without the use of chemicals. The wood is heated to up to 215° Celsius. Due to this "baking-in" process, Thermo Ayous is more moisture-resistant, exceptionally stable, and remains maintenance-free for years (durability class I). After Thermo Ayous wood has been thermally treated, it has a beautiful modern and warm appearance and gradually changes to a grey tone due to weathering (just like tropical hardwood). Would you prefer to keep the original color? Then you can treat the wood with an oil for outdoor wood.

Info table frame: The table leg is A-shaped and consists of a matte black powder-coated steel tube frame measuring 80 mm x 80 mm. The legs are set at an angle of 74 degrees.
